Homenaje a Luis Felipe Noé – A Tribute to a Renowned Argentine Artist MALBA presents a moving tribute to Luis Felipe Noé (Buenos Aires, 1933–2025), a fundamental figure in Argentine art and protagonist of almost seven decades of constant creation and history. The painter, sculptor, and writer was 91 years old and was the founder of the “Otra figuración” movement, Argentina’s national representative at the Venice Biennale, and winner of multiple awards including the Guggenheim Fellowship. This special exhibition, housed in a specially designed Level 1 gallery, brings together five key pieces that showcase the breadth of Noé’s artistic legacy.
Ulises Beisso (Uruguay) – Mi Mundo Privado (From August 22) This exhibition explores the intimate universe of Uruguayan artist Ulises Beisso, offering visitors a glimpse into his private artistic world through carefully selected works that reveal his unique perspective on contemporary Latin American art.
Tercer Ojo – Colección Costantini en el Malba (Continuing) The ongoing presentation of the Costantini Collection continues to reveal hidden connections and dialogues within Latin American art, offering fresh perspectives on familiar works.

Tango BA Festival y Mundial de Baile (August 20 – September 2)

From August 20 to September 2, Buenos Aires dresses up in tango, with concerts, shows, milongas, special activities and the dance competition that brings together couples from more than 40 countries. This new edition of the most important event in tango culture worldwide takes place in more than 30 venues throughout the city, with more than 1000 artists on stage.
